Day One: Starting My Juice Diet !

Day One
Weight: 242.2 lbs - 8:30 AM

Welcome:
To My Juice Diet 2012.
I had watched the documentary Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead, which features juicing as a way to radically improve your health, it's about a unhealthy over weight guy who had turn his life around by using a green juice diet.. it really got attention... good piece.


As you can see in photo to the left or above.. I am way out of shape. I do not get much exercise in the winter. I am laid off at this time... because my work is seasonal. And please.. excuse my writing. I am not a pro I am just a normal guy..(well don't ask my wife that ) I am just wanting to log my diet progress as I go and share with others my Juice dieting ideals, recipes and maybe even swap knowledge with my readers if any..lol.

LET ME INRODUCE MYSELF

My name is Tim, I am 45 Yrs young and a one pack a day 30 yr smoker, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and with now COPD.
I went to the doctor the other day, because I got worried about my health I was putting on a lot of weight fast, as you may of noticed in photo above... figured I 'd better get checked out. I was a heavy beer drinker back in the day and thought about my liver maybe swelling. so the doc recommended I go get a blood test and a CT scan done, so I did.

My results: well got good news the CT scan showed nothing wrong, blood test come back my cholesterol level is high, I am on the boarder of becoming a diabetic. Triglycerides are high, but my blood pressure was normal.

I do take med's for both high blood pressure, high cholesterol and have for over two years now. So I feel good about that.

Reasons is I want better myself is.. I have a wonderful family to worry about and who depends on me.

ABOUT MY FAMILY

My son Cody who is only 8 Years old, my two daughters who is at home Shantell 14 Yrs, Shaylee 11 Yrs, my other two daughters Danielle who also has my two grand babies Isaac and Ileigha, shes 25 yrs, she lives on her own with her family, Jaclyn my 16yrs old daughter who lives with her mother.


MY HEALTH


According to the Doctor, I am in good health,to some what.. no major damage from the years of my abuse, other then my weight, and not enough cardiovascular exercise.

MY GOALS:

What I want to is loose 40 or 50 lbs, be healthier, fit. I am going to try to quit smoking

I am starting a juice diet today I weigh 242.2 lbs today and it's 02/04/2012 Saturday Morning.


Starting out I Had a cup of black coffee, begin Juicing at 8:30 AM.
begin with one orange 3 stocks of celery, half a cup of blue berries, two strawberries, 1/2 bundle of turnip greens, one lemon.. AND GET THIS I also added one whole jalapeno for a kicker ...whew, and a couple of small carrots. I think that was it.

I drank about two glasses of it. wow got a kick. but did not taste to bad. I do think I went over board on this one, I will learn as I go.

I am not following no one else's program. I want to discover on my own, the different taste I can create. I think by doing this, I will have a little fun with it as well as getting healthier.

Done some exercise, trying a thirty minute work out, (3) sets of each (20) sit ups and (20) push ups also adding weights to my program starting to curl (25 lb) dumbbells.

I want to start walking a few blocks everyday until I can start jogging. I am a smoker and way out of shape, I will do this after every lunch..I hope.

Day Two
Weight: 238.9 LBS- 8:30 AM

Day Two:


Made it through one day. feeling good.. I got up had my coffee, started my juicer up, added a apple,some pineapple, one orange, some grapes, and some greens and a hand full of carrots. ...not bad tasting. I clean my juicer right after I am done.

 I am getting ready to start a 15 Min work out this morning, starting with some puch ups, a few sit ups, curls with the dumbells. I want to do a longer work out. But until I get in better shape, it's going to take some time.

Worked out  for about a hour over all felt good got some yard work done fixed me a juice.  then I watched the SUPURBOWL. Good game  Giants did it ........had a few snacks and a few beers problbly should not have.. But  I am back on track ready for day 3.

Day Three 
Day THREE!










Day Three:   Weight  237.2 LBS 8:30AM


Up and ready to go having my coffee, about  to go juice. I fixed me a cantalope, blueberrys and carrots. orange, added a few greens, grapes for kicker. done 20 mins of excercise, 15 sit ups and 15 curls and 15 puch ups (3) reps of 15 with 25 lbs weights. because I am still sore from last night.

I went and walked around for awhile, I fixed supper ate just a small amount of wheat and grain
spaghetti & chicken Alfredo one slice of garlic bread.  it was really good ,but I seem to be always full   I hope thats good because I don't seem to eat as much supper any more.
going to try and do some more excercise in a moment. might even take a walk. well I done it, I went for a walk ended up jogging  about two blocks and walking about 6, not bad for not doing any thing for four months. hope to be taking a walk every night maybe jog a short distance. wow I am sore. But you know what they say no pain no gain.

  1. Well I decided not to eat lunch. it's 3:25 Pm 02/04/2012 I did some exercise for about a45 mins, cleaned up a couple of messy rooms, I did drink a half a cup of coffee. still have not took my walk yet. catch you all A liitle later on today.

  2. well I got a craving for something sweet, so I mixed me a strawberry apple cantailope juicee! sweet.
